A collection of presentations from a gathering of feminist, gender and LGBTI activists. The conference sought to revise the language used to describe gender and sexual violence against women and the LGBTI community. There is a major discussion on the use and origins of the term ‘corrective rape’ and how its use removes the impact of the violation. Overall, the delegates call for a unified social justice movement working towards the protection of human rights as well as better articulation of key issues.
